SC refuses to hear plea challenging Aadhaar Ordinance

The bench comprising of Justice S A Bobde and Justice S A Nazeer stated they wouldn't express whatever on the merits of the claim and would love to have the advantage of their highcourt view on the situation.

President Ram Nath Kovind needed on March 3 given his assent to the Aadhaar Ordinance that allowed voluntary use of Aadhaar since ID proof for obtaining mobile SIM cards along with launching bank accounts.

The Supreme Court on Friday denied to listen prosecution challenging the recent Aadhaar Ordinance brought by the Centre, farther requesting the petitioners to approach the highcourt with all the grievances.

Mature urge Abhishek Manu Singhvi, appearing to the petitioners, informed the bench that it was a topic of federal importance as it'd possess a pan-India effect and the apex court docket have to decided the situation.

The seat, but let the petitioner to withdraw the plea and also allowed liberty to approach the court.
